Such a short season:

Let’s ride TO-DAY!

Park and Ride

You’ll find many places to trailer up and ride for the day!

Upper Valley Grill: Located on US 302, this puts you right onto snowmobile trail 302. The Upper Valley Grill and General Store provides the snowmobiler with food and gas seven days a week. Please go into the Grill and ask where you should park, so you do not interfere with business. If all parking is full, the Grill owner, Bill Kane, will direct you to a couple of other parking lots.

Butterfield Parking Lot: The Butterfield parking lot is on US 302 about 6 miles West of Upper Valley Grill on your right. Three groomers turn in this parking lot, so you have access to Topsham, Barre, and Groton trails.

New Discovery Parking lot:  Located on Groton State Forest Highway 232. Just above the Upper Valley Grill is the junction of US 302 and 232.  Go about 11 miles on Highway 232, New Discovery Parking lot will be on your left.  This parking lot puts you right onto the snowmobile Route 2 trail.

South Ryegate Ball Field: Sometimes open for parking.   Travel west on US Route 302 from I-91, exit 17.  The South Ryegate ballfield is on the left just after the first caution light and Church.  Watch for signs "SNOWMOBILE PARKING" and "VAST Trails to Rt. 5, Jct. CA 1, Rt. 302 and Groton".  You will have to ride your snowmobile a short distance, on the edge of the blacktop, until you get to the dirt road called "Brown's Road".  This road and trail is open to Jct. CA 1.
